A range of multi-purpose aluminium catamarans designed for clearing oil spills and solid waste from harbours and sheltered waters, coastal areas and the sea.

FUNCTIONS
The Envirocat Catamarans are user-friendly vessels that have been designed with multi-purpose capabilities, including:
- Collection of floating solid wastes, such as timber and plastic
- Collection of liquid wastes, such as oil from a custom built oil skimming unit
- The vessels offer the operator a stable platform to carry out many other duties, such as harbour survey work, diving, casualty rescue and fire fighting
SPECIFICATIONS
The vessels, developed by MMS, incorporate many innovative ideas:
- The steerable propulsion unit, located centrally between the hulls, draws in floating debris
- To enable the ease of debris collection, side rollers allow contact operation alongside quay walls with further protection from half round heavy duty fendering
- All other open corner sections subject to contact wear have been doubled with 6mm aluminium to give added protection
- To help with environmental issues, the catamarans have segregated waste compactor containers for recycling plastic, glass, rope, etc.
